It was recently revealed that Betfred had kicked off operations in its ninth state, entering markets in Virginia. Following the launch of online operations in the state, Betfred has made its online sportsbook available to residents of Virginia. As time goes on, Betfred is expanding its footprint across the United States. With each passing month, more states are opening their doors to sports betting practices, with legalisation efforts occurring on a widespread basis.
Elsewhere, Betfred has attempted to gain a strong foothold within certain regions, partnering with prominent sports teams to help build out a progressive profile. It’s a busy period for the firm, which is headquartered in Warrington, England, but there’s still plenty in store for the company.
Constant Expansion
This is the ninth state that Betfred USA has entered in recent months, and there are plans to break into more regions in the coming weeks. At present, Betfred is in talks to pick up a sports betting license in Nevada. At the moment, the firm’s application is being considered by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, and if approved, it’ll see Betfred secure the business of bettors at a key casino venue in Las Vegas.
Recently, Betfred also announced partnerships with sports teams that’ll help the organisation gain ground in these states. For instance, in Virginia, a key partnership was formed between Betfred and Loudoun United. In Nevada, an agreement between the organisation and the Vegas Golden Knights, an NHL franchise based out of Las Vegas, was signed.
Bryan Bennett, the COO of Betfred, spoke highly of the timing of the move into Virginia:
‘This is the ideal time to launch sports betting with several major sporting events happening over the coming weeks and months, and of course, with the USL Championship season kicking off soon.’
Betfred is a legendary operator, with roots that stretch back to 1967 in the United Kingdom. Currently, the firm operates in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Maryland, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Washington, Ohio, and of course, Virginia. There’s a bright future in store between Betfred and the U.S. sports betting markets.
